EFWA members are…
Dairy farm workers whose work accounts for more than 50% of all agricultural revenue in New York State.
Row crop and orchard workers whose work puts food on the plates of millions.
Home health aides, security guards, childcare providers, warehouse workers, food service and retail workers, as well as other jobs in Central New York - none of which pay a living wage for even a single mom with one child.
Without EFWA’s membership, Central New York’s economy would come to a halt.

Join as an EFWA member
Are you now, or have you ever been a farm worker? Would you do farm work to supplement your income? Ever worked or would you work a low-wage service, temp or gig job to pay the bills? Then you can join EFWA!
Host a house meeting or a camp crew
Members of EFWA can invite friends and family to join them at home and learn more about the association and discuss matters of mutual concern and interest.
Build a self-help benefit program
Members are eligible to participate in the free-of-charge benefit program, designed by members, for members. EFWA is a self-help organization, so members can help develop, run and oversee the benefit program.
Expand the Central New York Workers Benefit Council
EFWA members meet weekly at the Central New York Workers Benefit Council (WBC) to discuss development of the benefit program, as well as campaigns. Members make all decisions by consensus and the council helps determine the direction EFWA will take in relation to problems members want to address and membership needs.
Become a delegate
Members can become delegates to the WBC and help bring the concerns of their neighborhoods, industries and workplaces to the council.
