Why Invest Your Time with EFWA

EFWA is an all-volunteer organization, running 365 days per year. You can make a difference from your first day in and build independent organization that can fight for real change. EFWA is an independent association that relies on those who care to work together to make that happen. No other interest save the workers’ themselves is served.

Who Will Benefit

EFWA members are the backbone of the local economy, working as farm workers, service workers and in other essential jobs, yet often paid so poorly that the basics are out of reach. EFWA volunteers make a difference in these conditions every day!

As a volunteer, you will learn professional organizing skills through on-the-job training, the history of the U.S. labor movement, and gain first-hand knowledge of the situation facing agricultural and service workers in the United States.

What You Can Learn

Below, you will find a list of regular activities that you can participate in. Orientations are provided to new volunteers prior to the start of any activity. Call our office and talk to a volunteer to schedule to volunteer or ask questions. No prior experience necessary – EFWA organizers provide training on-the-job. Don’t wait call today!

    Membership Canvass

    Saturdays 9am - 4pm

EFWA membership canvasses are the lifeblood of our grassroots farm and service worker organizing drive. Alone and isolated we cannot achieve anything; united we can win! Volunteers canvass door-to-door in low-income neighborhoods where members and potential members live, to build organization where it’s needed the most.

    Publication Session

    Thursdays 6-9pm

Join EFWA's publication staff! We also need volunteers to design flyers. Call EFWA!
